Nurturing Your Happiness
How to nurture and practise your happiness?? first...
Learn to laugh at yourself
Ever trip over something or say something you didn't mean? No one is immune to awkwardness. It's a part of life. But even doctors know that laughter is good medicine. Rather hiding in embarassment, acknowledge your faux pas and laugh at yourself. It's mark of maturity.. but don't laugh at your own jokes lar.. like me.. hahaha!! (tak malu)
Choose happiness over being right
Consider this story. Two children playing in a park begin to argue. One says, "I hate you! I'm never going to play with you again!" For a few moments, they play separately, and then they are back playing together and sharing toys. How do children manage to be so angry one minute and best of friends the next? The answer is simple-it is more important to them to be happy than to be right.
Be a peacemaker
It's not easy being a peacemaker, but it is rewarding. The world remembers its peacemakers with the Nobel Prize. There have been many distinguished recipients. But there are many others who live quiet lives, spreading peace like a sweet aroma to those around them. Are you seeking a happy life? Be a peacemaker.

Colossians 3: 12~15 (Reading from NLT)
"Since God chose you to be holy people whom he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. You must make allowance for each other's faults and forgive the person who offends you. Remember, The Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. And the most important piece of clothing you must wear is love. Love is what binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in our hearts. For as members of one body you are all called to live in peace. And always be thankful."
What I learned: Since we are God's holy people, we should always be merciful, kind, gentle and patient to others. Forgive and forget. We must love everyone because that is what binds us together and brings harmony as well as peace. Be grateful.
Application: Must always be a good testimonial to others because people do judge Christians.. haha.. forgive and forget and love each other. Cultivate peace and avoid gossipping and arguing. Appreciate what I have now.
